First Week in the MTC - Primera Semana en el CCM

After having slept that first night at the MTC, at 6:30 in the morning our alarms sounded. The first week at the MTC was rather special. We have different classes in which we study together as a district and as companionships, and we also learn directly from a teacher about different functions in the Spanish language; the first one being how to pray in the language. I also had grammar class between a couple of former missionaries: Sister Morón and Brother Limón. Very quickly, he latched on to me in a way because I was going to go to where his brother had been called, and soon after his sister would be called there.
The real highlight was the Stadium of Fire that happened barely a mile away on the Fourth of July. The Stadium of Fire is a spectacle that is done every Independence Day at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo, Utah. Missionaries are supposed to go to bed early but the MTC president made an exception and let the missionaries see the fireworks from the campus.

Después de haber dormido esa primera noche en el CCM, a las 6:30 de la mañana nuestros alarmas sonaron. La primera semana en el CCM era especial. Tuvimos clases diferentes donde estudiamos juntos como distrito y como compañerismos, y también aprendimos en manera directa de parte de un maestro en cuanto a diferentes funciones del idioma español. También tuvimos clase de gramática entre dos exmisioneros: Hermana Morón y Hermano Limón. Muy rápidamente, él se juntó conmigo un poco más dado que iba a servir mi misión donde su hermano había sido llamado, y poco después, su hermana sería llamada allí.

La verdadera emoción de la semana fue el Estadio de Fuego (Stadium of Fire en inglés) que pasó apenas dos kilómetros de distancia en el festival de Independencia de Estados Unidos. El Estadio de Fuego es un espectáculo que es hecho cada Día de la Independencia en Estados Unidos en el estadio LaVell Edwards en Provo, Utah. Los misioneros deben de ir temprano a la cama, pero el presidente del CCM hizo una excepción y dejó que los misioneros vieran los fuegos artificiales desde el campus.
En días venideras hablaré más en cuanto a mis amigos quienes conocí allí.
